Wakako Zake - A series of shorts about a girl who goes out to eat
Sora No Woto - Little girls doing cute things. Would otherwise be fairly unremarkable unless you're into moe-blob, but the fantastic soundtrack by Michiru Oshima really gives it a warm and comfortable feel.
Usagi Drop - A man adopts his grandfather's illegitimate child. Protip: pretend the manga doesn't exist and it's a perfect show

Agreed. I didn't realize how prolific she was until I saw sora no woto a few years back. I just thought she was the composer for Ico. All her music makes my stone heart human again.

Definitely not the comfiest, but I think Hyouka is a really comfy anime. Light mysteries, incredible art and a nice soundtrack.
