I got that Breville for a quarter of the price, at like $200, used. Works great. It was selling at more than a grand last year new.
It has more to do with the beans than anything else. Get yourself a sturdy middle-market maker with a good grinder and you're all set. You'll be laughing at the plebs spluring $5 on a cup of coffee every day when each cup you make at home probably costs way under a dollar
