I don't know how to answer this question considering I was dumped half the year in one place, and the other half in another.
Born, Phoenixville PA. Quiet small town of about 15,000 students. Full of white people, mainly elderly. Boring little to no entertainment. The hang out spots were always fast food places for the youth, and apparently most people just fucked and did drugs to get by. I lived here doing the summers and holidays. Winded up living here for three years when I re-entered highschool.
Raised, Trenton NJ. I despise this place with a burning passion and all the hip hop culture, drug trafficing, immigration, that comes along with it. The city only has a 10% white population, the majority being black and spanish. But that 10.25 minimum wage game is pretty good.
I'd like to identify with Phoenixville, but I hated the sheltered white kidness of the children there. Then again, I only like Phoenixville more because I liked the small town security.

I go for the beauty of it such as the beaches. I personally enjoy Key Biscayne. Quiet, peaceful, and a great location in the morning to get high. I usually leave before mid day as people start coming in. Then I go to Crandon to get a tan.
But I don't go by car, all by bike. Try it one day. Get high and bike to the beach. No other feeling quite like it, I can assure you.
I don't go for the nightclubs as it's not my style. I personally don't feel comfortable around loud music and drunk people, but that's not the only thing that defines Miami.
It's very beautiful. You just need to see it from a different angle.
