I think I'll settle for a more rural or small city environment instead - you can get a lot of the benefits of urban living in smaller cities in the midwest without too many drawbacks. The key thing is that it's affordable in comparison to major metropolitan areas. This goes double if you're from a major metro and have saved up some money.
