0-Shit was invented individually of most other numbers because of how non intuitive it is. It's the gate between positive and negative integers. When you want complicated shit out of your equations? 1,2,9
1 cancels out of so many equations, almost as many as zero. Also the square root of itself. and itself squared, and cubed and so on to infinity. This nigger can stand alone.
2 is the only even prime number. How often do you need to take the half of something? Pretty much every day is how often. You wouldn't get anywhere without 2.
4 is 2^2. The first real squared number we get to see. Top notch. Plus quarters are pretty dope.
9 is 3^2. Being a perfect square is a serious bonus. Plus nine just operates nicely. If you don't know the trick with counting nines on your hand you suck. If you still need it you suck more, but the fact that it works that way is respectable.

8 is 2^3. Being a perfect cube and under ten is pretty impressive. It's no 1 but still you gotta give it props.
Five is just an intuitive number to count and operate with. All flat fives or tens. No messing around.
