>tfw considering smoking
Not a lot, like 2 a day tops, and not every day either.
It seems like an engaging activity to do when I'm just sitting somewhere alone chilling. Is any robot here an occasional smoker or do you basically get addicted if you keep it up, even infrequently?
I've only smoked once, so I don't really know.

2 a day for about a month and a half will get you truly hooked. As for cons, its expensive, bad for your health, and stops being cool very shortly after your 35th birthday at which point you're hopelessly hooked.

I stopped smoking in public like at 23 I am so ashamed but I still smoke. It's stopped being cool pretty fast but I do it alone. I am 28 now.
When I'm drunk I smoke bogies all the time. I never get the urge while sober though which is nice.

You can keep it to a minimum as long as you don't drink and smoke. I've posted how to smoke in a couple other smoking threads recently, use the archive for that.

jesus christ man have some self respect you east coast faggot
It's not bad at first, but your first nicotine rush is as good as it gets. It moves to habit forming after a short while, so you'd need to make a conscious effort to stop. My advice is not start, but if you want to waste the cash and your health, then a pack every other week or so isn't bad.

this sounds pretty bad. Knowing my addictive personality it might not go well with me, I've always appreciated the aesthetic of smoking- too bad it's literally cancer.

like anything it will become a bad habit if you let it. If you set a rule for example that you have one drink before bed every day and that's it, you're not an alcoholic in any practical sense. If you can do the same with smoking it's fine. Personally I found it too hard to get over the smell and taste unless constantly smoking. Maybe vape?

I'm addicted. 1 pack a day marb reds. 8$ a pack here in nyc. I don't plan on stopping.
I've been an irregular smoker for the last 2 years. Sometimes to socialise, more often with a cup of coffee in the morning. Probably smoke 2-3 ciggies a week (literally less than a pack a month).
I've never had a problem controlling it, no cravings etc. but I assume that's not the norm. Start at your own risk.
