I was on Adderall for 4 years.

They switched my brand to Aurobindo brand and I suffered a mental breakdown and mutilated myself due to psychomotor agitation/psychosis.

I couldn't even feel my hands. I've written about this incident before. Prefer not to get into more details.

I'd recommend staying away from meds unless you absolutely need them. Generic drugs are insufficiently regulated. The FDA says they're "equivalent" but that's bullshit. The FDA relies on the companies to test the "equivalency" of their own products--it's basically an honor system.

There have been repeated cases of drug companies falsifying the equivalency data.

I pretty much became a work zombie with very little social skills I just became very focused on whatever task I had and it was pretty difficult to talk to people like a normal person.
Even though it sucked I would definitely go back to taking it daily

You don't want adderall. You want Metadate CD (extended release). I'm extremely ADHD and the stuff really helps me concentrate on whatever I'm doing, regardless of how productive it is (I suppose that's the drawback). You don't burn out because it lasts all day. I've taken it since I was a kid.

Side effect: Severe loss of appetite. Eh, at least I'm not fat.

Again think about it as any other pill it's going to work different or different people your psych will just up your dosage or give you something new/extra.

i take it every week day so i can work at my job and otherwise be a functioning human being.

it makes me feel anxious and tense. i can't eat anything other than crackers while i'm on it, and everyone comments on how i never eat.

and i'm still capable of fucking around and doing nothing all day if i don't drink coffee. which isn't ideal since coffee adds to the anxiety.

but without the adderall, i spend most of my time in the bathroom having panic attacks because i can't fucking think

has any one taken ritalin, i been on it for nearly a year and it gives me these crushing depressive lows, i was prone to them daily before but nows it like its on steroids. Also always anxious, feel sick to stomach, and paranoid as fuck. It settles me down and makes me productive like 60 percent of time, but sometimes the feels are too much and i have to go disassociate for a bit.

taking 30mg in am and a 10 mg in the afternoon, there is no real order to the feels and productivity, its pure chaos.

They are going to give me lexapro to go alongside it, any one ever taken that?
