I used to have a neighbor when I grew up who was a very very heavy addict. He used a lot of stuff, not just alcohol.
One night as his wife had kicked him out again he started singing "always look on the bright side of life" very loudly. I had a test next day and I was like REEEEEEEEEEE
But he went clean, eventually, when he got treatment for what I think was brain problems of some sort. And so can you.

I had them for some time after I stopped drinking
When I felt it coming up at work I'd excuse myself and hide in the toilet until I stopped shaking
Haven't drank any alcohol in maybe a year but I still feel the urge to drink
Also I'm planning to kill myself this year
For me it's never been so bad that I got the shakes. But the anxiety that is so bad you are sure you're going to die is pretty lame. I think it's time for me to put the bottle back on the shelf and leave it there for awhile.
