Why couldn't I be interested in football or something that poor people can do? Why couldn't I have developed a passion for working out or something else that doesn't require much money.
Why do computers have to be so expensive? Owning a computer is the only thing I've wanted only thing I've asked for for Christmas and my birthday since I was a child. Try to save up for one end up having to buy other things.

Just pick up a ThinkPad or something for $100 off ebay. Shit, my main workhorse is a T400 I picked up for $80. Of course, I keep a separate desktop rig for entertainment such as anime, video games, pornography, and any combination of such.
My computer is 4 years old, I built it for about $375 and it's still running great. Sure I can't max out every new game but they all run smooth if I am reasonable with the settings. I just waited for amazing deals to pop up one by one and pieced it all together.
Why do you want the most powerful, expensive stuff? You are just being cucked by the tech industry, all the PC nerds who upgrade video cards three times a year don't even seem to enjoy doing anything on them other than obsessing over the latest 500 dollar part that will be 2% faster. The high you will get for having an "amazing pc" will be gone the instant you go online and see the rich chad who bought a $3800 prebuilt rig that shits all over yours on his dad's credit card because "he needs it to study on."
If you enjoy the technical aspect maybe you should just do goals within a certain budget. Hunt ebay/craigslist and newegg clearance sales and try to build an amazing computer for $250-350. It can be done. The only thing difficult will be a video card but even then there are people dumping last year's best card for almost nothing because they just upgraded. If you do mail in rebates you can get items 75% off or more, sometimes even free.
Don't get shilled into the black hole of the latest and greatest, you'll never be content and you will be wageslaving for nothing. Be an enthusiast, not a consumer disguised as one.
http://www.logicalincrements.com/ is the well known site for PC builds but even their site is normal prices. I think you can subtract 25-40% or more off of each category there by being patient.

Oh yeah, the raspberry pi exists too. They are under $50 shipped with a charging cord and HDMI cable. They are built for people learning how to code but are also very easy to set up and use as a normal PC. It won't be a powerhouse but they do the basics just fine and music/video works too, as well as old games.
So for the cost of a regulation football (your poorfag comparison hobby) you could have a working computer with endless coding possibilities.

God you are such a fag. You don't need the greatest and latest to learn how to code. Most decent comps from even 2 years ago will suffice. My main Comp I use for all my developing isn't even that good. I5 4460, 760gtx 16gb ram, 500gb sata. And even mine is over powered for what I need.
Just get started, start by learning a few languages (C,C#,C++,Java,objC,php,JavaScript). Once you have a good grasp on one or two, everything else will become clear.
