I actually prefer bagel bites over frozen pizza. They're microwave food which means you can prepare them in two minutes instead of waiting 20 minutes for the oven, and they have the added benefit of tasting a fuck ton better than frozen pizzas as well.

I pretty much live on Totinos party pizza 4 pack boxes. Eat the box at least once a week. The other days it's frozen burritos and instant noodles. Also change things up here and there with a frozen pot pie here and there. Maybe a can of wolf chili. I go through a lot of Banquet tv dinners. They recently went through a rebranding and redid a lot of their recipes and portions. They went up from 80 cents a meal to a buck 10 but the food is slightly better with more in it. Their powder potatoes now have a slight taste of butter to them, the corn is sweeter, and the meat is the same but larger portions. They also have deserts in them now, which were exclusive to their hungry man line.
When I feel fancy I get a tombstone. Usually get 4 or 5 of them a month. At this point I'm probably 50% sodium.

Soy and meat by product for the meat with the exception of chicken which is made up from the left over throw away chicken meat processed and pressed into whatever shape they need for that meal. Corn is corn, which is subsidized by the govt to the point of being practically free. The potatoes are powder with less than 2% potato.
All in all I'd say it costs more to process, package, and deliver than the actual food in it. Their profit comes from mass distribution where 40-50 cents of profit distributed over a thousand meals sold across the nation is why the line is still supported. The company probably sees its real share holders are happy profits from their actual normal food lines.
