For some reason he did not want to get a divorce. I dont know if it was because of a business decision, she was his manager. Or if it was something else. He seemed to have a strong belief in loyalty and the old way of doing things.
I think he may have stayed married for that reason. Anyways, she went to be with that other guy and he preceded to bang groupies the rest of his career.
None of this came out until after he died. Geezer Butlers wife revealed that Geezer stayed with him until he died and his wife had been living with that other guy for close to 30 years. She married him shortly after Dio died.
