Thing wasn't Boogie Nights, but it was fun as Hell. Unlike the Star Trek reboot I felt like it even had trimmings that hardcore fans would enjoy. The mystery behind Rey's identity, the nuances in VFX, the last two minutes (implications of geography in relation to it being the place where the First Jedi Temple was)
Yet still, lots of my film major friends are all "FUCK THAT MOVIE WITH AN AXE"

Honestly I think it was a fun movie but I still give it a 3.5/5
The first act was great, everything as soon as han shows up is too rushed, but at the same time, feels like a lot of 'stuff' was happening that didn't need to be there? Also J.J Abrams is a bad director and threw in some really awkward editing/shots (i.e the landscape shot with rey and luke spinning was really awkwardly done)
But yeah it's a fine movie, Surprising good for how much of it was purely fanservice and material there to sell toys.

its been the same plot for decades. That being said, it was a great movie and id like to see them tie things up in their next films. particularly how Snape is kyo-ren's real father.
