I've brought some lexapro (Escitalopram) off the interwebs....this is a stupid plan isnt it.....
and no I didn't talk to a doctor before.
I just want to feel okay.
I already work, go to the gym & see friends.

Of all the drugs to buy of the net why that?
Dude they give that shit out like candy.
You will have absolutely no tolerance for alcohol so if you do drink go light. You may not get boner or fapping will take longer this is saddening.

Has anyone here had any success with SSRIs or SNRIs long term or without therapy.

It is possible but you will be utterly dependent on your crazy pills. You will have a BAD time if you run out or miss doses.
The purpose of pairing with therapy is that the pills can get you into a "functional" state and from there you can work to develop healthy habits and coping strategies which are really more important.

Dude read about ssri, they don't have an effect for up to 4 weeks. Are you really going to take it for 4 weeks continuously until it has an effect? Why even do this yourself? Just to talk to a psych doc. They'll give you ssri prescription if you need it.
What all these anons said PLUS antidepressants aren't a magic happy pill. For me, it just reduces my suicidal thoughts and makes me a bit more indifferent. Don't go into it thinking everything will get better, it really doesn't
