It was funny, great CGI effects, the action was fun, the "right" amount of nostalgia (too much and it's lame, too little and it's not recognizable), I really liked a lot of the new characters and am looking forward to more with them, I loved the Nazi themes with the First Order, I loved the new superweapon, Kylo was an awesome villain, killing Han was a great scene, I loved how they called back to old tropes but flipped them around in different ways, I loved how they saved Luke for the end, and I loved how they left a lot for fans to theorize and discuss and try to figure out. I came out of that movie wanting more
The only negatives I would say is that Harrison Ford wasn't totally up for it physically, and the movie was a little too long (though I'm not sure what segments you can cut)
