You are right in a way, people overreact when it comes to tripfags. But you don't need to be a tripfag to troll and derail threads.
But they react for a reason after all. Imagine every poster, or the majority used a trip, or even better had an account. How would that be different from most other sites. The reason most people come here is because it's anonymous, you have freedom of speech and don't need to register.
