It does effect my perception of my self. I used to be a skinny twink with thick hair. Then I went bald and started working out and packed on 30 lbs of muscle. Nobody recognizes me anymore and I attract a different type of woman. It's kind of nice looking like the one punch man, but I miss having the option to style my hair, even though I never did when I had it.

27. Used to have incredibly thick hair, so much so the hairdressers used to comment on it. Been receding for a while and now it's beginning to visibly thin. Both male grandparents were bald so I knew it was likely.

I understand how bad balding can be for people, it gives feelings of a robbed youth to many, makes you a lot less attractive, especially when you don't have strong features, for no seemingly evolutionary beneficial reason whatsoever. It is really just an example of life is unfair.
For all who consider finasteride and minoxidil I can say nothing but educate yourself on the risks of side effects. I currently use nanoxidil, which is minoxidil in spray form, and is marketed as effective for the Temple region.
In regard to fina, 99% of men do not experience "lasting" side effects, but be advised, there are not yet studies of the effects of usage over periods longer than five years.
I used finasteride for a year, my hair stayed the same, but after stopping it that remained unchanged as well so not too sure of its effects. As far as side effects go I lost a lot of body hair, and felt more tired. My times in swimming got worse too and my stamina was lower as well. After discontinueing this got back to how it was before.
For some men it is definitely worth it though, as the effects of the drug vary immensely between persons.
The only absolute cure in the end is a transplant, which sadly is not possible for a lot of balding men.

How would that slow it down, show me the actual scientific process. Are you saying it slows down the conversion to DHT as that doesn't happen in the scalp or are you saying somehow massaging slows DHT in your bloodstream from getting to your hair follicles, cause I would love to see the mental gymnastics you do for either of those scenarios.
