In most cases it's been someone still stuck in the same normie job and I moved on and got something better
Also when I see someone from High School it's annoying as fuck because suddenly they care about me. In High School I could have killed myself and nobody would have cared.
It's the other way for me. I recognize people from high school, but I can tell they can't recognize me. I was and am too forgettable. I just don't say anything so I can avoid embarrassment.
you both recognize each other because you were in the same grade or close and saw each other a lot but never actually talked so you dont say anything
