The reality is that there are people who's bodies physically reflect one gender while their brain reflects the other. Studies on the brains of transgender individuals have consistently found this. It's better to let someone be the gender that's hardwired in their brain than try to force them to reflect the gender of their sex organs. The latter will only lead to depression.

They can make the choice however they must deal with the stigma.
