I actually just started playing these games. I don't know if this is general consensus or not, but so far the sequel seems considerably better than the first game.

>Longer levels that let you take in the setting

The NPC are not boring, the foreign language makes the atmosphere that much more rich and comfy there are more than 3 guitar songs and they are all really good also don't use a mod that makes the game fucking worse then.

As someone who has only played Skyrim, is Morrowind something I can enjoy? It looks and sounds amazing and I can't believe I never played it back when it was current. Just recently got back into Skyrim and am getting pretty pulled in. Also, are mods essential if I get Morrowind?
