What happens if you don't show up to jury duty?
bump back to the forefronttttt

Usually fined.
If you're in university or if attending jury duty would constitute an undue burden, you can probably get out of it.
You can also act biased during jury selection. Or just bring up jury nullification, that will get you out pretty easily. Make it seem natural, like you disagree with U.S. law and wouldn't follow it.
The sheriff kicks in your door at 3am and brings you back to the police station to make fun of you for being a virgin. Then you get a 150 dollar fine

Just show up man. Don't they compensate you?

I can just pay a fine and tell them to leave me the fuck alone?
The letter said there's arrest and jail-time
>>25379971
They'll usually fine you, but not necessarily arrest you.
Look up the laws for your state, try to find forums about it. They might have better knowledge of whether jail-time is enforced.

You'll make Marcus Aurelius be disappointed in you for failing your civic duty.
500 dollar fine..
>not wanting to convict normies
It is an interesting experience OP.
>>25380490
Do they arrest you if you say something like "i'm just going to flip a coin" or say "nigger" or something racist that would not make you look impartial
>>25380591
If you do something that retardedly obvious, then yes.
Instead you could chalk bias to past experiences.
>>25380676
They might as well just flip a coin because I don't give a shit and am just waiting to go back home, and it's majority anyway so it doesn't matter if there is already a majority vote
>>25380457
is that all?
I would rather just pay the fine then desu
>>25379730
they can't prove you got the letter, destroy the letter and act like you never got it
typically they have no way of knowing whether you received the letter or not
>>25381462
I don't even have $500
>>25381492
try getting a real job then, $500 is literally nothing
