I was more or less high on hydrocodone for a whole day, on accident, or it at least seemed that way.
See, I had acute bronchitis so the doc gave me a script for Tussionex (chlorphenamine-hydrocodone cough syrup). At first I didn't take any of it because I had benzonatate which worked pretty good for the cough and my cough was subsiding anyways.
But, one day I woke up with a really fucking bad toothache to which my dad suggested I take some of my cough syrup and some OTC painkillers. So I did, and it took the edge off for awhile. I kept redosing though, but didn't really feel anything for that first day.
2nd day, still have the toothache, and dosed a few more times. Then I started to feel it. It was nice for those first few hours, but then it started to go downhill as I went on roadtrip back home. By the time I got into town and went out for dinner with my bro, I was out of my fucking shit. It was weirdly euphoric and uncomfortable, and all my limbs felt like jelly. Not only that, but there was some severe depersonalization and derealization going on.
See, Tussionex is time released over a 12hr period, and with the dosing intervals I was going at, who knows how much hydrocodone and chlorphenamine I had in my system the 2nd day. I mean, I went through half a bottle of the stuff in less than a day.
I'm attributing the euphoria and all that with the hydrocodone, but the uneasiness and DP/DR with the chlorphenamine.
