Nah, I prefer to live life on the edge. When someone asks me my name I'll just retort "Why?". Now meeting yoga teachers in parks who smokes weed in public and does magical energy transmission using our hands is more my style than asking some person how the weather is for the 50th time. This guy is actually pretty cool. I also watched his video about conversation starters, pretty helpful stuff.
My problem is that I worry too much about rejection though. I don't think I'm an off-putting person or terribly ugly, but I fear I'll just run into people that really don't want to talk and will do their best to shoo me away and leave.
All of that advice will just make you look creepy unless you are attractive.
