DO NOT do this first semester unless you are a turbofaggot morning person. Remember why you are in college: to be successful in your coursework. If you can't get up early in the morning, dont pick classes in the morning. It will just make you want to skip more and more and then you will spiral out of control and be fucked.
Go for afternoon courses. Most "events">>25369504 is talking about are late night meetings like at 7pm. Afternoon classes give you time to sleep in, get yourself in the productive mood, get errands done early in the morning if needed, have time to do coursework if needed, and be functioning instead of a zombie.

I was actually considering a Russian or German language major, but it would just be a waste of time. There are many, many people who can speak english/german or english/russian very well. Maybe i'm totally wrong, but the usefulness of a foreign language major, I don't think that it can be justified when you look at the STEM or business majors. You can learn a language in your own damn time. For fucks sake, there is probably someone on the campus that is legitimately a native speaker of the language that you can just talk to and learn from directly instead of spending 4 years in a program.
