html and css are retard-tier. not even programming just formatting. php can be complex but 90% of coding for these sites are the same 10 or so commands. i didn't really know Javascript but programming comes easy to me so i just figure it out as i do it. it's mostly just for/while loops, if statements, and commands you can look up easily desu

I'm actually interviewing for the same kind of job you've got now, for similar money, but I've got no degree at all.
I've been programming as a hobby for years. Its the best marketable skill I have, and there's the potential to transition into some kind of remote working which may enable me to travel. I know it won't be as fun as working on my own stuff but still its better than a minimum wage cuck job.
Mostly I just want my own place and to be a functioning adult.

For small projects thats fine. For larger ones it really does help to have some idea what you're doing.
Though PHP really is just a glorified HTML templating engine that had a ton of helper features added and then eventually accidentally turned into a language.
Javascript at least is a proper programming language, albeit quirky and with some bad features.

travelling isn't a job though. i work for 2 companies actually, one that makes websites for clients and one that makes websites for our travel network that resells tours to people for 25-35% commission.

yeah well the JS we do is mainly just taking pre-made scripts and tweaking them a bit with settings. i made the tour booking form in 2 days with freeware javascript validation and form software just adding 100 or so lines of code to tweak it to what we needed

That sucks man. You could try to get a commission to be an officer in the military. The Army would be the easiest branch to get into.
I was enlisted in the Army for about 5 years its kinda shitty but you're guaranteed a paycheck, free housing, free medical, and a decent pension if you stay in.
You would be an officer with your degree, you'd make a decent amount of cash and do pretty much fuck all but sign papers and play Army. It would be pretty much impossible to get fired unless you abused drugs or committed a felony too.
You could even find a field that will train you for a high paying job when you get out.
