Lots of people on this board talk about their neetbux/autismbux, how hard is it to get disability in the US? I've never worked and I don't have any physical impairments, but I'm "severely mentally ill". Years of documentation from multiple facilities saying something along those lines, including social worker and court paperwork. I spent most of 2015 in a psych ward and I just recently got off civil commitment for 6 month inpatient care. No failed work history but veeery extensive failed treatment history. I dropped out of HS years ago and never got a GED. My whole family is on disability for mental health reasons too. Do you think I have good odds of getting it? I have to talk to a psychiatrist for an evaluation to apply and mental health professionals give me terrible anxiety so I'd rather not do it if I have no chance.
