Greetings friends!
It's time to strap yourselves in for an armchair tour of the globe.
Today we are stopping at some obscure locations.
Feel free to share your own.
As a general guide, please surprise us with places we have never seen before.
Pictures, street view, videos all welcome.
Starting with a few street view locations I recently found:
https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/South+Georgia+and+the+South+Sandwich+Islands/@-54.125408,-36.6735257,3a,75y,259h,90t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sW3eY73F2gsDCcnNZ3RWwMg!2e0!6s%2F%2Fgeo3.ggpht.com%2Fcbk%3Fpanoid%3DW3eY73F2gsDCcnNZ3RWwMg%26output%3Dthumbnail%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26thumb%3D2%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D259.5%26pitch%3D-3!7i13312!8i6656!4m2!3m1!1s0xb93db6e252a87925:0x7ee37cda884db0bd!6m1!1e1
I explore cities on google maps and pretend I'm driving around with a cute girl doing fun things and eating at restaurants
Now onto
Grytviken, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands
Check out the street view for this area. It is surreal stuff!
General Bernardo O'Higgins Base, Antarctica.

Macquarie Island
Macquarie Island location.
No street view as far as I can tell.
Sorry, I'm having trouble posting the location as a link. It keeps getting picked up in 4chan's spam filter.

How do you find places with google street view and how do you navigate them?
Do you use your mouse or arrow keys?
Now for somewhere a little bit warmer:
Ile Tore, L'ile-des-Pins, South Province, New Caledonia
Owing to problems posting links, I'll just post the location from now on. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Underwater Street View is a Bretty Cool Guy and eh doesn't afraid of anything.

I'm surprised nobody's used this as a cover for a heavy metal or classical album yet. If you search Grytviken and select images of the area you'll get a few other photos of the Church too.
Machine Gun Beach, Madang, Papua New Guinea

Madang, on the map.
Tromelin Island. Pretty much the classic example of a desert island.
French Southern and Antarctic Lands
Heard Island and McDonald Islands
Western Sahara

Sao Tome and Principe
Archangel, Russia

360 degree photo. Same location. Turned 180 degrees.
Hell, Norway.
Not as scary as I imagined it to be.
