I don't regret my time spent playing World of Warcraft or Runescape when I was younger, for me playing those games and being immersed in those environments was one of the pinnacles of my existance so far. Sounds stupid but its true, the feels I got playing that game and the discoveries and experiences I had were amazing.
All the recent post 2012 games have been dogshit though and the gaming industry as a whole is now just churning out bullshit few weeks of content mass normie appeal titles. I no longer get any enjoyment out of gaming and have a lot more time, my biggest waste of time is this site which I plan on cutting out next year in 2016. I'll miss some of the other boards but ever since the shooting spree I feel /r9k/ has gone to the dogs. I guess it depends OP, sure its a waste of time but what is the alternative? I genuinely doubt there was a better alternative that would have provided more enjoyment than Runescape/World of Warcraft for 12-18year old me

I don't think 200 hours study is enough to really learn a new language. Most people need much more than that, I'm sure.
200 hours might be enough to learn some basic things like "where is the bus" and "welcome to the party". But it's not enough for being able to hold real, in depth conversations or write papers.
Learning a language outside of English is a fucking waste of time anyway.
Have no idea why people cite this as something important, unless you're including things like maths or advanced professional terms in a broad definition of "language".
