I hate how everyone is on their phone all the time. It ruins personal contact and communication and turns everyone into either an autist or a pathetic wannabe fame whore. Cell phones should be illegal in public.

No. Phones have not stopped friends from talking to eachother. everyone being on their phones at dinner is a meme. you can't eat like that. phones have only stifled small talk and boredome all for the better.
Why do people pretend to care about this shit when they aren't gonna be randomly talking to people anyways?
Its just dumb kids trying to seem like hipsters. People have always occupied themselves with something. Stop being an idiot.
it's not the phone, it's the people.
if you don't have a cell phone, cell phone users won't even try to contact you at all.
>insert black and white pic of people on train reading newspapers [here]

reading newspapers on a train is hella classy.
source: i used to commute into manhattan for work (over 2 hours each way), it was boss having a New York Times and Wall St. Journal daily subscription and reading them every day. I actually learned shit. Everything about modern commuting (endless shit car rides) and modern communication is mind-wasting garbage. Possible exception is educational books on mp3, but reading is far superior.

If my boss wants to contact me, he can do so during hours that I am at work.
Not about to have a device that lets retards waste your time without being in your physical location

Yeah, quality newspapers have quality information. Even rags generally have better information than most websites, to be honest. They have to do minimal research, many websites don't have to do any at all.

Yes, you should kill yourself so I don't get dumbass faggots like you responding to my post with your nigger babble.

I lived out east on Long Island and had a well-paid internship in the city - I'd drive 15 minutes to Ronkonkoma station, take the LIRR about hour and 45 minutes to Penn Station, then take the subway to my stop and walk from there...roughly 2 hours 15 minutes each way. It sounds bad but I'd take it over the 1 hour car commute I had later in my life at a different job, no question. On a train you can stretch your legs, sleep, read, daydream, do crossword puzzles, whatever. Endless commuting in traffic will shave years off your life if you do it long enough.
