I respected the shit out of my ex's cosplay because I watched the hours and hours she spent interpreting designs made by people who knew nothing about actual clothes making, and managing to turn them into patterns that worked in real life, and then having the skill to sew them up into costumes. As many things there are that piss me off about her to this day, as many things that I can criticize, I'll never stop saying that she was one of the most talented costume makers I've ever known, and the awe at her ability to make those costumes will never fade.
