I'm sure it depends, but you'd be surprised. Kindergarten teaching isn't exactly a saturated market. There is a little bit of a "stigma" for males + really young kids, but unless you're really creepy I don't think it'll be a problem. The pay isn't bad. I make about 55k a year. I do get summers off, but living without income for two months is not a good thing. I usually sub here and there.

i did a kiddy observation not long ago, in a preschool setting. im like 99% sure i don't want to deal with that age group for a living. they're basically ferral animals for the most part, not real people yet. Yes, there were cute moments, but it's not worth all the potty stuff and bickering over inane shit.
I'd like 4-5th grade personally, because that's when they start to become real people. they might have some grasp of happenings in the news and current affairs. there's a potential for adult conversations in other words.also, no potty training stuff..

Another anon here. Used to teach preschool for a while. The potty stuff is a bit of a chore, but the kids can have some amazing conversations. If they irritate you or ask you annoying questions, you can either ignore them or brush them off with a ridiculous reply and that usually does the trick.

In my experience working as a camp counselor with kids from preschool to seventh grade first grade is probably the sweet spot. Old enough to not be pissing themselves often and to hold a train of thought for a bit, but still cute and nice.

I *can*, but it's not a fun game at all. It's really depressing. I know that a lot of the time, a child can't be taken away unless there is concrete proof. I make an effort to talk to them when I notice, to talk them after class and make sure they're doing OK.

I kinda wanna download and play this again now, but I know I'll just get frustrated with how repetitive the missions are and how old it feels compared to new GTA... I fucking loved it when it when it came out though. Decapitating people with the katana was the coolest shit to me when I was a kid.
