i've been giving the modern situation of degeneracy a lot of thought.
the current generation seems to be one with the worst attitude toward substance abuse and promiscuous sex in a long time, seeing these 'sinful' activities as normal and healthy
one wonders why this generation is so corrupted by this degeneracy, by drug fuelled escapism, disease ridden sexual promiscuity and abandonment of moral guidelines and self control.
but i've figured it out.
it's war
wars have served in the past to take young men and women and shape them into responsible, disciplined adults with a grip of reality
every generation prior to the last few has had a great war (and draft) that forced this effect onto the young of the nation

> Afghanistan (for russia)

up until the 90s, generations were shaped by wars and drafts, but the lack of them has allowed for this great degeneracy we see today.

that's why a universal draft is necessary to ensure no degenerates like the hippies remain to take up leisure time and spread diseases.
