I was raised protestant in the south but am no longer religious at all, the troubles weren't so much about religion in terms of actually killing eachother because they have different beliefs, it was more of a tribal thing of us vs them and the history of hate. Religion set up the division but after years it relied more on the mutual history hatred.That's my view of it anyway

It was never in.
The only time there was a "united" Ireland was under the yoke of the British Occupation.
Prior to that we had a complex political system that couldn't really be called united in any real sense. Even when there was a High King the whole Island wouldn't be under his control.
The British did an amazing job in stamping out our social structure during the plantation periods.

If you are writing it in English phonetics "sha" makes sense. When writing in Irish 's' is almost always sounds like 'sh'. I guess shea might make sense to monolingual English speakers.
That's the trouble with trying to write two languages words in one sentence.
Avoid using 'sea' if you can as there is no 'yes' in Irish and it shows poor form to just rely on 'sea' all the time.
Just take the verb the person asking the question used and say that in the positive or negative form. Boom! you're done and you're Irish sounds far more fluid and fluent.
