anyone else feel an extreme sense of loneliness when experiencing an old piece of media? Anime and videogames are cool and all, but if you try googling anything old or obscure and all you're left with is ghost town forums and low-viewed YouTube videos from 2008 that have only recent comments from 3 years ago. Shit, I even start feeling bad watching videos from 2011-2012.
I mean there are some old things like Morrowind that somehow manage to still have small albeit dedicated communities, but if you look up any anime or vidya from 10 years ago you'll be left with ghost towns. I used to like obscure stuff and took pride in my hipsterism but now it just leaves me feeling lonely
What's the point in liking old/obscure shit if you don't have anyone to discuss it with?
