I know the picture is from /mu/, but who else totally digs psychedelic rock? Both my bandcamps are completely inspired by them.
Been really enjoying things like "After Bathing At Baxters" and "The 5000 Spirits or the Layers of the Onion". The influence probably shows in my music.

how does anyone bother making music? the process itself is mostly aggravating and the end result is amateur trash that you have to spam to your friends to have its existence acknowledged for a moment and then forgotten ultra quickly after you get a "cool" or equivalent pat on the back. an easy copout is to pretend its cathartic but e eryone knows thats bullshit

i get a literal adrenaline rush from making music. being doing it for 12 years so it's pretty easy at this point, depending on what i'm trying to do. the lack of appreciation can be disheartening, but fuck it, i enjoy my music enough to keep making it. i probably could make shit that more people would like if i didn't loathe most of the popular music these days and put in the effort to self-promote. probably not worth it, though.

FL Studio is fine for most shit. Only thing that sucks is you can't change time signature midway through a project. Pirate it or get a job, it's not that expensive from what I remember.

i'm not whoever bought the album. here's some feedback on the album, though. surviving sounds like it's got a lot of digital clipping on it. when you recorded it you had your mic up too high or when you mixed it you had it up too high. when i make a song i turn the master volume down pretty low in fl studio, render it, then start a new project, import the audio file and click normalize so it will be as loud as possible without clipping, then render that clip. also did you do the orchestration on the queen and her child or is it a sample from some song? impressive if you made it yourself

I know, man. I'm trying. Thankfully I'm making a scraping from playing shows, but it's really hard to get any money saved up when you're living paycheck to paycheck, you know? I inhereted almost all of my instruments and amplifiers, so i can play shows with my bands, but I'd love to be able to get some decent recordings of my compositions. Maybe if my music starts picking up online, I'll be able to spend my paypal money on a Shure SM57 or something.
