I was a very ugly kid/teen but I started looking much better when I hit 18. Pretty much defined my social retardation though because I had little to no friends. I get rated 7/10 when I used to be 4/10 (wasn't even fat). What do I even do now? Can't hold an adult conversation to save my life.

Incredibly different. I'd actually have some self-confidence and would probably have friends and gf, and the satisfaction I'd get from social success would bleed into other aspects of my life like career, school, etc.

This. I don't think I'm terribly ugly I just can't interact with people that don't share my interests/views enough that they can be the sole subject of our interactions. The second I have to make "small talk" it's game over.
