What are some dreams you had as a kid you know now will never come true?

>tfw will never buy mom mansion
>tfw will never become President

I had some major delusions of grandeur as a kid. If I went back and time and met myself, I'm sure that would lead them to an hero.

I graduated last year, I'm 27 now, I'm on my city council right now and I get paid pennies for clerk work, but I'm slowly getting there. I really want to AT LEAST become mayor by the end of my life. I think I have the credentials, I'm pretty well liked in my district because I served in Iraq.
