Please tell me how do I get my life back on track
25 year old NEET here.
We're both fucked. Do you at least still enjoy or at least have your hobbies? I don't enjoy anything but eating, sleeping and ejaculating anymore, and none of those are pleasurable as they used to be. I play video games to pass the time but I hate those now too.

Break your major goal down into smaller measurable and attainable goals. Your major goal doesn't have to be something of Alexandrian proportions. It could be as simple as "start speaking another language" or "gain/lose some weight" or even "stop drinking"

I'm not saying it's easy, but it is simple. Pick a thing and pursue it.
Was NEET until 27, here's what I did
>applied for jobs at a temp agency
>changed my hairstyle and overall look (new clothes, trimmed beard)
>started hitting the gym 3 times a week, but made sure not to overdue it
>cut down drinking to just once a week, as opposed to 3 or 4 times a week
>committed to reading two books a month
>stopped eating fast food
>deleted all forms of social media
>got a puppy to brighten the mood around my apartment
For me, changing my entire lifestyle worked wonders. Some people would argue not to start all of these things at once, but knowing how lazy I am, I would have put off doing some of the other things on that list. Just fucking put your head down and power through it. I eventually did get a position at the temp agency I applied at, and now I'm being hired on as a full time employee 8 months later.

Yes it did, to some. Socially media was a huge time sink for me. The people I'm closest with, I see them on the weekends or talk to them through the phone.

Somewhat true. The thing with intelligence is that it goes hand in hand with a lot of personal attributes. Stupid people generally don't read, because they think it's a boring thing to do, yet most influential and intelligent men have sworn on their regular reading habit.
I have a book right next to me called 'Timeless wisdom and advice on living the seven manly virtues". I got it on Christmas last year but forgot about it entirely. It's a great read between duties and really entertaining. The next book I'll read is one I ordered just today, called "Be Not Afraid: A Book of Quotes from Catholic Men", which I look forward to reading. Not because I'm much of a catholic, but because the eBook was being praised for it's good quotes.

I learned avoidance as a coping strategy early on in my life and wasn't taught anything else. I'm 28 and I'm still hiding in my room all day every day because life is terrifying and I have no idea how to deal with it.

Firstly join a gym and aim to go 3-4 times a week (try to go every other day).
Secondly start turning your computer off everynight at a certain time (say 10-11) and get into to bed and read until you feel tired. At first it might take a few hours for you to fall asleep but you'll gradually get used to falling asleep at a certain time. Buy an alarm (or two) and set it (them) for 9:30 in the morning. After a few months you'll retrain your mind and body back into a routine.
Thirdly think about learning a trade or skill that'll give you an income, something that'll let you be your own boss. Here are some options, Bricklaying, Painting and decorating, Computer programming, Gardening, Welding.
General pointers are cut down excess sugar (stop drinking sugary drinks). Cut down on caffeine, and if you're a caffeine fiend start drinking Camomile tea and honey in the evenings instead of normal tea/coffee.

Norcal, BA as well. 26 atm. Tried to get a job but some other issues came up on top of my already intensely robotic personality. I am really depressed, learned to enjoy the small pleasures in life but still it feels like my life is a waste, its passing me by now I can really start to feel it. Negative thoughts permeate my conciousness now, control is being lost. I got nothing, considering joining the military. I doubt even they will accept me.
I read these posts sometimes and I just want to give you neets a hug sometimes.
You can feel how desperate you are to change and you want to change, but you just can't.
I wish I could show you that life is hard, I've been in a long term relationship however I'm single now and that's OK also. Work is a challenge but if you don't try and put yourself out there you'll never get anywhere.
Just give yourself a chance, you're all human beings. Remember that's it's down to you though, so do it.
