Is starving yourself a good way to lose body weight and body fat?
>>
its effective at that but it will mess you up probably off the other effects
>>
No, because you inevitably slip up and get fat again. The only real way is to completely change your diet habits, like not drinking sodas anymore and just drinking water.
>>
not really

you'll just gain it back later

These faggots aren't wrong but they're not right either. Starving yourself is sorta a good way to lose body fat...the only problem is you'll lose way and shit, but you're skin will become sloppy and droopy as fuck and you'll look twice as disgusting as you did when you were fat. The key is to tone up and work out WHILE losing weight so you don't drop too much weight too fast otherwise you'll fuck up your skin.

I'd also recommend playing a sport for example basketball. It doesn't even matter if you're not good at it, basketball is a sport that has a lot of cardio since you're constantly running, so it's really good for weight loss, it's how I lost a shit load of weight without even really trying to family.

I don't browse /fit/ so I can't give you any regiments or retarded ass starter kits for MUH gains but most of that shit is bullshit anyway. I would tell you you're going to make it, but I don't want to lie to you anon, shit I'm barely even making it.

t. anon who used to be 320 at his heaviest, football weight was 280 in high school, down to 220 now.

Good luck man, hopefully things work out for you.

Starving yourself IS far and away the best way to lose weight/fat if time is of concern.

Starving yourself while working out is generally the best way to do it.

Anyone who disagrees with this is a confirmed retard.

i did this for 2 months and lost 50 pounds and kept it off. I didn't look gross either

No. Muscle loss and loose skin will be abundant, you'll look just as undesirable as you are now to any female suitors. Best way to lose weight is to simply count calories and workout. Try a bunch of different workouts and see which one you enjoy best. Motivation is a lie, discipline is the key to getting yourself into a fit and able state.

You will:
-Get loose skin if you are very large.
-Be tired/cold/etc.
-Lose muscle mass
-Possibly develop an eating disorder

So no. You have to find a sustainable method.

Get malaria, you lose like 50lbs in a matter of days!

My flatmate is a pharamcologist who also specialises in sports nutrition.

He showed me study that looked at fasting and muscle retention. Basically, the study comprised of men who ate about 700-800 calories a day, but their protein intake was about 70-80g a days. They had minimal muscle loss as a result of the high protein intake.

If you're going to do very low calorie dieting, make sure you eat a lot of good quality protein, like organic chicken or beef, and fish.

Very much so and don't listen to anyone else here spew their nonsense about "starvation mode" and "you will get fat again".

First off I spent a year running 4+ hours a day@ 5'7 330lbs, taking in 2,000 calories and burning off 1,500 calories (according to my treadmil set for a normal persons weight).

I would go to bed with my stomach killing me, like werid ass noises and burning but I didn't die and I went down to 160lbs at the end of the year, and now I'm back up to 240lbs 7 years later.
>>
My friend went from fatass to normal in a couple months, he took vyvanse/adderall etc and didnt eat as much. So ya its how you do it but it will cause negative health effects
>>
No. Try working out and eating 200 calories below your daily TDEE. It's slow, but it's the tried and true method.
>>
There's no point in losing weight if it's not permanent, and at least for me permanent lifestyle changes I'd dislike are not worth it for the hypothetical ways they'd improve my life.
>commit to never eating anything actually good in my life ever again
>commit to worrying about calories and nutritional shit every time I take a bite for the rest of my life
>commit to torturing myself with exercise, wasting an hour or more of my life every single day in painful, torturous, mind-numbingly boring and tiring exercise
>assuming I was willing to commit myself to an intensified version of the above for half a decade to look halfway human again and that I wouldn't relapse
>I'd be 32, far below average intelligence, far below average facial attractiveness, hideously scarred, either have loose skin or surgery scars (I won the lottery or performed magic to get hold of the surgery money, nothing else makes sense), fourteen years behind the curve in academical, social and employment progress
>without any money
>still without any social skills
>still no reason to hold any self-worth (just because I'd be in shape would mean nothing since everyone else is too, and they'd have started at least nine years earlier in life)
>still have no friends or anyone to build a social life upon
>still never have dates anyone, completely outside the market anyway since the average person would have dated several people and lost their virginity at half my age
>still have mental health issues
I applaud those who can enjoy something terrible like exercise and are able to improve themselves early enough to reap benefit from it. I lost my chance long ago, either due to the way I conditioned myself to think of failure as my default state or factors beyond my control.

I'll stay on this earth for three more years to see if there will be a magic fix for my problems or enough advancement in artifical worlds for me to immerse myself in them permanently. I'm not expecting much though.
>>
I heard somebody say once that starving yourself can give you anxiety problems. That would make sense for me because I had rapid weight loss and I'm agoraphobic now.

Your body eating away at your fat sounds extremely fucking painful
>>
Apparently fasting is a pretty decent way to lose weight. Just don't eat one day a week.
