>babysitting for woman
>they stay out late so i must sleep overnight

>10 am, hear lots of yelling in the living room
>i assume it's the mom yelling at her kids for whatever reason
>try to go back to sleep
>hear firecrackers going off (they were actually the sounds of a small handgun)
>mom runs in and begs for my phone, starts screaming to call 911
>very confused, i hand her my phone, she frantically calls then runs out the door
>get out of bed, walk out into hallway slowly to see what's happening
>dead guy on the floor who i know, blood everywhere
>call out his name, as if he might be alive or something
>he's clearly not alive
>run back into bedroom and look out window
>see cop walking down the street trying to find the house
>go back out in the hallway and creep by dead man
>flag down cop
>he asks me what happened
>i really have no idea what happened

Yeah it did, but I'm fine now. I was diagnosed with PTSD two months after. Then around 20, bipolar disorder. I don't visit therapist or psychiatrist anymore, I would say I am pretty normal/fine.
I don't take medication now.

By the way, I found it difficult to acclimate to life back in America. I have permanent dysthymic disorder as a result of my fucked-up childhood. I saw a bunch of other crazy shit, which is too long to discuss. Like, I was swarmed by an angry mob of Sunnis once, watched an Arab jack off to my mother on a bus with no reproach, etc.
