It's just genetics. My little brother has a much healthier lifestyle than me etc, but his acne is just as bad. I've had it really bad, but since a few months it's been going away for no real reason (I'm 23 now). My mom says she still gets zits. It will go away eventually but you'll have to deal with never having quite normal skin. Best bet is just going to a skin doctor.

I have it all over my back and while it is painful sometimes it doesn't bother me since I rarely have my shirt off. My face is pretty clear with the odd pimple every now and then. The worst thing is the mild dandruff in my beard.
