7pm
- Got up. (Christmas eve) [alone]
- washed up
- went out : groceries shopping at Carrefour
8pm
- enjoyed black chocolate tab, Gu dessert, ham
10pm
- eventually read google's privacy statement, in a panic I decided to tighten everything (Win10...), shut down Windows Search (discovered horrified that the *content* of my .txt and .rtf files was indexed by default), re-discovered the Privacy section in the settings window (turned off everything)
- decided to quit Chrome again, get back to FF. Inquired about the freezing problems I've been having with FF. Norton/Symantec, which I never installed, is constantly writing on the disk, and sending the files somewhere online. Uninstalled Norton.
11pm
- turned off home wi-fi, switched to ethernet connection.
- succeeded in making Chrome handle magnet links again (had to edit Registry)
- [knowing there are bots crawling the web for out of date computers] Decided to upgrade my old Tower from XP to Vista.
- hesitated about watching a Christmas vibe movie, the little prince. Read tons of critics. Finally decided against watching.
- deleted MS Win10 account
- opted out of Google remembering searches in signed-out mode
- chose and picked Vista Enterprise x86 SP2
