They aren't really illnesses. They're just personalities that are incompatible with what people have decided is a normal lifestyle. If you can reconcile the differences you can live a happy life I guess but it can be hard depending on how severely your personality deviates from the norm. Also personality disorders have a lot of co-morbidity so it's not like anyone is schizoid or borderline or whatever with NO other disorders whatsoever.
