First timer here, what are some things i should look out for, as well as how to prepare beforehand and how to hide it afterward?

Never had a "good" shroom trip. I always get so fucking confused by the littlest things and I can't let anything go. Last trip I had, kinda towards the end, I had convinced myself that a whole bunch of shit happened when it didnt, like me killing someone and going to jail. Was overwhelming, and I broke down pretty bad for a little bit. Do acid instead, SOOO much better.

Well don't trip balls in your room while grandma is visisting if you're planning to do something like that.
Set and setting, those are the two things you have to mind.
Set is your mindset. How your day is going, how your mood is, if you have major recent sources of anxiety or something, etc. If you're having a bad day, put off doing shrooms for another.
setting is your physical location, where you'll be when you're going to be tripping is a huge factor, also who you're going to be with if anyone
Like I said, stay away from your own room and house, stick to the outdoors and go somewhere fun where you feel safe

Bring a backpack filled with stuff you'd think you'll need like your ipod and water and light snacks, maybe a book or something that could redicrect your focus like a pen & paper if you like to draw, etc. For me it was all about the music and my mp3 player

Personally I can't really pick any 'best' shroom trip since they were all great. Even the one where I threw up I laughed about it, even when I got lost in a giant cemetary at night in a city I had never been in before it was a huge video game-like adventure for me.
what I like the most about shrooms is the child-like wonder that it triggers, like the entire world is your playground and you're 7 years old again and you were just let out of class to play during recess.
The synesthesia, crossover of sense like tasting colors or feeling sounds, is also quite generally pleasing.
