It's not studied as much as SSRIs, partly because there's little potential for profit. It's not patentable. You need to do a lot of studies for FDA approval, which requires a lot of money. Companies aren't going to fund that, so it's mainly up to universities, etc. to do the research.

I've been depressed since I was 7, after I got expelled from jesus school at age 8 I fell behind in school and they decided I was retarded so i went to special ed. I stayed in there for the rest of school because I got in tons of trouble and thats the only thing that kept me from being kicked out of the public schools

I've tried several antidepressants (Celexa and Lexapro are the ones I can remember) and none of them did anything good, some made me feel like I was wearing an emotional straitjacket, and others made me way too uninhibited and impulsive.
The only drug I've ever taken that actually made me feel "normal" was MDMA, I wish they could come up with a prescription pill that had the same effects but didn't fuck you up long-term or build tolerance and stop working.
