This is a call to arms.
This is a rallying cry that we cannot remain placid and complacent in our rooms, and in our basements any longer.
In 2014, Elliot tried to start the fire. He was troubled, like us, and society spun it into a pro-feminist, pro-gun control narrative. They ignored the problem completely, and we've sat passively, mourning and memeing while time erodes their memories.
In the near wake of 2015, we've seen several others follow in Elliot's lead, trying to start fires of their own. These matters were again spun to further unrelated agendas, while again we sat passively.
No more.
This is a call to arms.
As 2016 draws nigh, we must not let this recent fervor wane in the winter frost. We must honor our brothers' sacrifices. We must make them remember.
2016 must be the year that The Uprising becomes real. No more dreams. No more memes. The fire must rise.
