Completely aside that this entire site since conception has been an imageboard SPECIFICALLY for the culture of discussing and sharing anime and all affiliated content I gotta say.
I feel him, man. I really fucking feel him. Autistic people really do have a bad name because of weebshits who take it to levels past cringe, as if cringe wasn't bad enough. Though as not to make it about bashing people and their interests, cause I have things i'm not proud of. Everyone deserves something they are so into they feel embarrassed about.
But I really want to ask.
Why are the two so congruent anyway?
So much potential science to experiment with.
They say children who don't look people in the eye in their toddler/infant years have or develop autism, that right there when I first heard about it blew my mind. That there are tells, things that are naturally overlooked.
Shit like a regular human face by golden ratio rationale doesn't please their minds. Like it doesn't stimulate the right shit in the brain. And maybe the way Japanese anime portrays faces does in that respect.
Big goofy eyes and child like facial aesthetics just drive their feel good sensors up the fucking wall.
Their inability to process reality on a logical level leaves them to escape into this world where people look visually stimulating to them.
I could really dig into that research, seems interesting.
