You know the novels where it switches the 3rd person view each chapter? So say chapter 1 it follows person A, then chapter 2 it follows person B, then chapter 3 it follows person C, and it switches between the three each chapter. If person B is your favorite, you gotta wait through two boring chapters just to get to the good stuff. And you can't skip chapters because all their stories intertwine.
