Most of these natives (in America, Australia, New Zealand) didn't have any sort of codified idea of 'land ownership', and some of the groups were semi-nomadic (moving around from place to place within a certain region), but this doesn't meant it wasn't effectively a theft of land - the natives were essentially pushed out by a technologically superior force which set itself up in these countries, imposed its own laws, often specifically had policies of aggression against these native groups.
Ever heard the saying "possession is 9/10ths of the law"? The saying is based on the reality that most property in the West, other than land, is merely a matter of posession, most people couldn't really adequately prove that they rightfully own many specific items of property, other than the fact that the property is in their possession. In some countries like the UK, this assumption of ownership by possession extends so far that squatters were able to move into unoccupied property and essentially claim it as their own. What happened to the natives was theft in the moral sense.

To some degree, yes. What's different is that when you're talking about the US, Australia, or NZ - this was all relatively recent and the effects are ongoing. In Australia there were various laws regarding aborigines which regarded them as part of the flora and fauna', and they weren't given the vote until the 60's or so.
