Honestly it's great to have diversity and i do not mind other type of anime. I just fear that the anime i like will stop existing because it is much easier to do a school romance or ecchi shit than well animated battle scenes and plot like full metal alchemist.

the cute thing has been going on for quite a few years. I blame K-On's success. It used to be that typical late night anime was ecchi comedy, which is fun. Now a large portion of anime airing is just cute girls not doing anything interesting for 12 straight episodes.
