If your perspective is the only one you would not have the capacity to change. The statistical probability of other life existing is decent, but we have no way of knowing, and if we did discover some, the ability to actually interact with it would be slim to none, unless we develop faster than light travel, which is highly unlikely.
But what if we're alone? Completely alone in this entire universe. It makes the fragility of our existence even more awe inspiring.
